Abstract:
Oracle 12c RAC Flex Architecture and support for RAC 12c Multitenant Architecture
High Availability and Scalability become increasing important for IT infrastructure as application and database consolidation has become a key initiative in the data center. The Latest Oracle 12c RAC provide the right solution to achieve these goals with Oracle12c RAC and the multitenant architecture. Come to this session to learn these new features from the author of the Oracle 12c New feature chapter of the Apress book Expert Oracle RAC 12c .
This session will provide the technical details on these new features such as Flex Clusters and Flex ASM and how to manage them to achieve the business benefits. This session also examines how Oracle RAC supports Oracle multitenant architecture and how these two important technologies work together to enable the highly available, scalable and cost-effective database infrastructure.

Objectives:
• Learn the Oracle RAC 12c: Flex Clusters and flex ASM their benefits and how to manage them
• Learn Oracle 12c RAC support for Oracle multitenant architecture
• Learn how to leverage these new features to establish the foundation for a database
cloud environment.

This presentation is a part of the OTN MENA Oracle technology conference tour, which covers five major Middle East and North Africa cities in two continents: Bizerte, Beia, Riyah, Jeddah, and Dubai. My Experience at DOAG and BGOUG Conferences   1 comment

2013-Konferenz-Banner_Speaker-180x150_hochIn November 2013, I took a trip to Europe to present at two great Eurpoean Oracle user group conferences : DOAG (Germany Oracle User group conference) and BGOUG (Bulgaria Oracle User Group) Autumn conference. Although it was my first time to attend them, I had a great time at  these two conferences. At the conferences,  I got chances to my knowledge in these two great Oracle commuities and also learned a lot  and had a great time networking with colleagues and friends.

DOAG 2013 was held in the Germany historical city Numberg. It was one of the largest Oracle conferences in Europe, attended by more than 200o Oracle professions from  Germany as well as other  Eurpoean countries. Most speakers were also from  Europe  or USA. Many of speakers were Oracle ACE Directors or Oracle ACE and well known experts on their areas. Oracle Corporation also sent a good number of product managers and technical experts to present the latest changes of the technology. One of the sessions that I attended was the Oracle In-Memory columnar Option session presented by the Oracle In-Memory columnar  Option product manager. This presentation gave more detailed information about this latest Oracle 12c new feature than the similar one that was gaiven at Oracle OpenWorld 2013. The session contained the presentation as well as a detailed live demo.

At the DOAG conference, I gave two presentations. The presentation PDF  files can be downloaded through the following hyperlinks:

1. Ensure HA in Database Cloud with Oracle Database 12c:What to do and how to do it:    11/19/2013: 11:00-11:45 am , The Nuremberg

2. Achieving Availability and Scalability with Oracle 12c Flex Clusters ,  11/20/2013 : 1:0-1:45pm,The Nuremberg ConventionCenter (NCC), Nuernberg,  Germany.

After DOAG conference, I traveled to Plovidiv, a famous historical city in Bulgaria to attend BGOUG (Bulgaria Oracle User Group) conference. There are  two Oracle conferences held in Bulgaria annually: the Spring conference in May , and the Autumn conference in November. The autumn onference attracted several hundred Oracle professions from all over Bulgaria. The  majority of speakers were from Bulgaria as well as other other Eurpoean countries plus  few from US and  non-Eurpoean countries. The two presentations I gave had the same titles as the one that I presented at DOAG with some minor changes on the contents:
 1.  Ensure HA in Database Cloud with Oracle Database 12c:What to do and how to do it: 11/21/2013: 6:00-7:00pm,  Novotel hotel, Plovdiv,Bulgaria2
 2 . Achieving Availability and Scalability with Oracle 12c Flex Clusters/Flex ASM,11/21/2013: 4:45—5:45pm,  Novotel hotel, Plovdiv,Bulgaria
